A doctor decides to splurge on the best car money can buy—a brand-new Ferrari GTO. It's the most expensive car in the world, costing a whopping $500,000. Proud of his purchase, he takes it for a drive.
Stopping at a red light, he notices an elderly man on a moped pulling up next to him. The old man, looking to be about a hundred years old, glances at the sleek Ferrari and asks, "What kind of car you got there, sonny?"
The doctor replies proudly, "It's a Ferrari GTO. It cost me half a million dollars."
"Half a million?" the old man exclaims. "Why does it cost so much?"
"Because this car can do up to 250 miles an hour!" the doctor states with pride.
Intrigued, the old man asks, "Mind if I take a look inside?"
"Not at all," the doctor says.
The old man leans in, takes a good look around, and then sits back on his moped. "That's a pretty nice car, alright," he says. "But I'll stick with my moped."
The light turns green, and the doctor, eager to show off, decides to demonstrate his car's power. He floors it, and within seconds, the Ferrari's speedometer reads 150 mph.
Suddenly, he notices a small dot in his rearview mirror. Curious, he wonders what could possibly be catching up to him. To his astonishment, the dot grows larger, and something zooms past him at an even greater speed.
"What on Earth could be faster than my Ferrari?" the doctor wonders, flooring the accelerator again. He pushes the car to 175 mph, then 210 mph, overtaking the blur ahead. To his shock, he realizes it's the old man on the moped!
The doctor pushes his Ferrari to its limit—250 mph—but the old man is still gaining on him. Moments later, the moped zooms past and then crashes into the back of the Ferrari, wrecking the car’s rear end.
The doctor screeches to a stop and rushes to the old man's side. Amazingly, the elderly man is still alive.
Panicked, the doctor asks, "Oh my gosh, is there anything I can do for you?"
The old man whispers weakly, "Yeah... unhook my suspenders from your side mirror."
