One afternoon, four engineers find themselves carpooling to a tech conference...
Suddenly, without warning, the car starts to sputter and then completely stalls in the middle of the road...
Their conversation abruptly stops as they coast to a halt on the side of the road.
The Mechanical Engineer, ever the pragmatist, is the first to speak...
"I think a rod broke," he says confidently. "We should check the engine."
The Chemical Engineer, shaking his head, counters with a thoughtful frown...
"The way it sputtered at the end tells me it’s not getting any gas. There must be an issue with the fuel system or a blockage in the fuel line."
Meanwhile, the Electrical Engineer is deep in thought, recalling the subtle flickers and sounds just before the car gave up...
"I’m convinced it’s an electrical problem," he says, pointing to the dashboard.
"There was a spark and then everything went dead. We need to check the battery and the wiring."
All three engineers turn in unison to look at the Computer Engineer, who has been quietly observing the situation...
"What do you think?" they ask, eager for his input.
The Computer Engineer looks around at his colleagues, then at the car.
After a moment of silence, he confidently replies...
"I think we should all get out and get back in."
